About Me

Namaste, I am Hemang Chawla. I am an Applied Scientist in Image Processing and Computer Vision at ScanTrust which connects billions of products across the globe. I focus on developing computer vision solutions for anti-counterfeiting; improve the user scanning experience and authentication accuracy, as part of the core-tech team. Additionally, I am a visiting researcher at the Data & AI cluster at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).

Previously, I was a Senior Computer Vision Research Engineer at the Advanced Research Lab, Navinfo Europe. My research interests focus on the synergistic integration of 3D geometry with deep learning. Within the AI Research lab, I have worked on continual learning, semantic SLAM, 3D vision, deep learning, adversarial robustness, crowdsourced mapping, and camera auto-calibration.

Prior to joining NavInfo, I worked on problems in path planning, control, and SLAM for robotics startups in the healthcare and cleaning service industries. I have a masters degree in Robotics from Delft University of Technology, where I worked on mobile manipulation under Dr. Martijn Wisse. During my bachelors from BITS Pilani, I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Bijay Rout at the Center for Robotics and Intelligent Systems.

With this diverse experience, I bring a unique perspective in the field of robotics and AI. I am always eager to take on new challenges and apply my skills developing innovative solutions to complex problems. Contact me to explore how we can work together to push the boundaries of cutting-edge technology.
